Well, we're back from our little weekend vacation, and, I'm back from my blogging vacation, momentarily anyway. Sorry it's been 3 weeks. Anyway...

This past weekend Brian, the kids and I enjoyed 3 days & nights with some friends of ours at a lovely mountain cabin in Plain, WA. Where's Plain you ask? It's about 20 miles outside of Leavenworth, WA.

We had a fantastic time just hanging out, eating, drinking, snacking & playing games. Day & night we went "Super Sledding". I say super, because this wasn't your ordinary, straight little hill, this was a top of the line, custom luge track that the guys built & shoveled the entire first day there.

We arrived late Friday night and put the kids right to bed. Saturday we had breakfast, played in the snow, ate lunch, played in the snow, had dinner and played in the snow. Sunday was pretty much the same, with the exception of droving over to Leavenworth in the late afternoon. The town was having their annual ice festival, so we shopped around town, got warm treats at Starbucks and watched the fireworks show before heading back to the cabin for a late dinner. Monday morning we ate, cleaned, packed and headed for home around 1:00.

Thank you so much Chris & Amy for inviting us on your annual cabin trip. We are looking forward to many more years of fun in the snow!

Happy New Year!

Well, the snow has finally melted and the tree is out of the house! My Nana couldn't make it up from Medford, OR during all the snow, so she came on the 29th and we had "Christmas" again. I think my kids had about 7 days of present openning. Avery asked me on the 8th day, "do we get to open more presents today?" Spoiled? I think you know the answer!

For New Year's Eve I had volunteered to work until 9:00pm because I thought Brian was going to be at work and that I'd just be home with kids. Well, it turns out that he didn't have to work, so we decided to go to a party. We got there late, but it was still fun. Thank you to Nani, Popi & GG for babysitting and staying up so late for us not once, but twice this week. What would we do without you?!?!

Here's to a wonderful New Year!
